PrivacyPolicy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
The short version
We collect what it takes to run a challenge platform: your account, what you upload, how you play and watch, and enough device data to keep things working. We use it to run the game, rank your feed, and keep HUGE safe. We do not sell your personal data, and there are no ads on HUGE. Your votes are hidden while a challenge runs. HUGE is 18+. Anything you want to know, ask privacy@huge.tv.
Who we are
HUGE TV — the HUGE app and the huge.tv website — is run by HUGE CORPORATION, 1 Central Park South #1709, New York, NY 10019, United States, the controller of the personal data this policy describes. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@huge.tv.
What we collect
Your account. An email address or phone number, your date of birth (HUGE is 18+), and a handle. A password only if you set one. A display name, avatar, bio, gender and links to your other social profiles only if you add them. If you sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook, we get your basic profile and email from them — never your password. Your timezone, so countdowns land right.
What you make. Videos you record, upload or import, the sounds taken from them, your comments, and the challenges you write — including earlier versions when you edit something. Uploads are transcoded and served from our CDN so they play on any connection. Direct and group messages are delivered through our chat provider, which stores them to make messaging work.
How you play. Which challenges you entered or created, your Huge Votes and Snoozes, HP, level, achievements, rewards, who you follow, what you like, save, repost and share, and the reports you file.
How you watch. Playback events — how long you watched, how far you got, pauses and replays — plus your searches. This is what ranks your feed. Before you sign up, the app can run as a guest profile tied to your device; its history becomes part of your account if you join.
Your contacts — only if you say so. If you turn on contact syncing, the phone numbers and email addresses in your address book (or your Facebook friend list) are matched against HUGE accounts as one-way hashes to suggest friends — we keep the hashes, not the numbers and addresses themselves, and matching is the only thing they are used for. You can turn syncing off in your device settings, and ask us to delete what was synced.
Purchases. When you buy Crystals, Apple handles the payment — we never see your card. We receive the transaction record (product, price, currency, Apple’s transaction ID) and keep your Crystal wallet’s ledger.
Rewards. Claiming some rewards needs a name, an email address and a country, so the reward can reach you.
Device and diagnostics. Device model, OS and app version, a device identifier, your IP address, push token if you allow notifications, crash reports and performance logs. We use these to fix what breaks, size our servers, and spot abuse.
What we do with it
Run the game. Host your content, run challenges, count votes, credit HP, deliver rewards, and let people find and follow each other.
Rank your feed. We build an interest profile from what you watch, vote on, search for and skip, and use it to order challenges and videos for you. This profiling decides what you see first; it is never shared, and it does not follow you to other apps or websites.
Review content automatically. Every uploaded video is analyzed by an AI system that writes a description for discovery and checks it against our Community Guidelines. Clear violations can be removed automatically; everything else flagged goes to a human. If you use the AI helpers when creating a challenge, the text and images you give them are processed the same way. Any removal can be appealed to a human reviewer.
Keep HUGE safe. Handle reports, enforce strikes and bans, stop vote manipulation and ban evasion, and keep records of enforcement.
Talk to you. Sign-in codes and account email or SMS, and push notifications you control — every category can be switched off, and quiet hours are yours to set. We do not send marketing email.
Understand and fix the app. We use product analytics to see which features get used (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel), session replay that shows us how screens were used so we can fix what confuses people (UXCam), install attribution to know which link brought you (AppsFlyer), and crash reporting to catch failures (Sentry). The Facebook SDK powers Facebook login, sharing, and — only if you allow tracking when iOS asks — Facebook friend suggestions.
Our legal bases (EU & UK)
Where GDPR applies, we process your data: to perform our contract with you (running your account, challenges, votes, purchases and rewards); with your consent (contact syncing, push notifications, tracking under iOS App Tracking Transparency, optional profile fields) — which you can withdraw any time; for our legitimate interests (keeping HUGE safe and fair, preventing fraud and abuse, measuring and improving the product) — which you can object to; and to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records for purchases, responding to lawful orders).
What other people see
Your profile, public videos, comments, followed hashtags and challenge placements are visible to others — that is the point of a stage. Privacy settings in the app let you make your account private and control who can comment, mention or message you, who can download your videos, and who sees your lists.
Votes. While a challenge’s voting is live, nobody can see how you voted — not other voters, and not the creator. Results are revealed only when the challenge ends: the leaderboard becomes public, and a creator’s profile can show their supporters — the people whose Huge Votes backed their entries. Snoozes are never shown to anyone.
Who we share it with
The suppliers that make HUGE run, each bound by contract to use the data only to provide their service to us: hosting, storage, video processing and delivery (Amazon Web Services); AI content analysis and the challenge AI helpers (Google Cloud); messaging infrastructure (Stream); analytics and attribution (Google Firebase, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, Meta); session replay (UXCam); crash reporting (Sentry); payment processing (Apple); email and SMS delivery (AWS).
Sponsors. If a challenge is sponsored by a brand, the brand sees the public entries and the aggregate results — never your email, your device data or your votes.
The law. We disclose data when the law requires it, and we tell you when we are allowed to. If HUGE is ever part of a merger or acquisition, your data moves with the service under this policy’s protections, and we tell you first.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.
Where your data lives
HUGE runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States, and the suppliers above — AI analysis, messaging, analytics, crash reporting — process data there too. Videos are served through a content delivery network with servers around the world, so playback is fast wherever you are. If you use HUGE from the EU, the UK, or another country whose law restricts data exports, your data is transferred to the United States, and where that law requires safeguards we rely on recognized ones — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses — with our suppliers.
How long we keep it
Your data stays while your account is open. Delete your account and a 30-day window starts in which you can change your mind by signing back in. After it, your profile, videos, comments, messages and synced contacts are removed from our live systems within 30 days, and backups age out within 90. Aggregate challenge results stay, because they are the public record of who won — but they stop being linked to you.
Two things outlive an account where they must: purchase records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires; and enforcement records of serious violations, kept as long as needed to keep banned users from returning.
Your controls
In the app: privacy settings for your account and each surface, per-category notification switches and quiet hours, block and mute, and account deletion under Settings → Account. On your device: camera, microphone, photo, contacts and tracking permissions can each be revoked in iOS Settings at any time — the app keeps working without them, minus the feature they power.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, and take your data with you in a portable format. Where processing runs on consent, you can withdraw it. In the EU and UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. Depending on where you live — California, for example — you may have similar rights under local law, including the right to know and the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing”; since we do neither, there is nothing to opt out of, and we will never treat you differently for exercising a right.
Write to privacy@huge.tv and a human on the HUGE team will answer within 30 days. We may ask you to verify the request came from you — usually by proving you control the account’s email or phone.
HUGE is 18+
HUGE is for adults. We do not knowingly let anyone under 18 open an account, and we do not knowingly collect a minor’s data. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete what we hold. If you believe a minor is on HUGE, tell us at safety@huge.tv.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted, passwords are hashed, and access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfect; if a breach ever puts you at risk, we will tell you and the regulators the law requires, without games.
The huge.tv website
This website uses Google Analytics to measure visits — it sets its own cookies and identifiers, and we see aggregate reports, not ads. Where the law requires it, the site asks before analytics cookies are set, and saying no keeps the site working. Our servers also keep ordinary technical logs (IP address, pages requested) to serve the site and defend it from abuse.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect rather than quietly updating this page.
